Default I-751 waiver investigations. Is it true?

Ok, I have heard that most I-751 applications are investigated, meaning, they call the banks to confirm if the account was in both names, calling credit card companies, visiting neigbours where you used to live, calling ex wifes, etc... Is that true? I mean it would make sence why it takes so long to adjust. Anyone knows? thanks

I'm sure that on some occasions they may choose some of those actions, but i doubt anyone there can be arsed to do that for every case that gets mailed in. I-751s take a long time whatever.. theyre low priority for USCIS ad they have no urgency.

And, it's not only the I-751's with a waiver that are subject to scrutiny by USCIS. I know a couple of people who got home visits overseas when doing an immigrant spouse visa.

Either way, Milan, it doesn't really matter does it? They will investigate if they want to, you may never even know if they do. And there's nothing you can do about it if they do. I-751's just take a long time anyway, because they are low priority compared to other petitions.
