Default I-751 waiver interview with 12 years old child

We have an interview with my daughter for our i-751 waiver (good faith marriage - and it was my previous marriage).
We received 2 appointments letters o ne for me and one for her.
Does anybody knows how USCIS conducts an interview with the minor. Is she going to be by herself or we will be together or her father can be with her? what is the regular procedure
thanks

I've no idea... but if she's a minor, you will likely be allowed to be in the room with her. You might not be allowed to say anything, but you can probably be in the room.

I'm not so sure in this case. This is an I-751 with waiver interview, so the officer might want to know specific details about the child's relationship with the ex-husband (or at least hear the child's input) without the pressure of having her mom around. The child might say something differently in front of mom than she would alone.

I think there might be a good chance they'll want to talk to the daughter alone, at least for a while.

Very much doubt that your new husband will be allowed into the examination room with you. Your daughter will be, however. Since your daughter is a minor, she isn't really interviewed but will probably be asked questions about her father?/stepfather? (your first husband).

A,

It may depend on just how 'minor' she is. They will likely treat a 6 year-old differently than a 16 year-old.

Hi Alina:

Good Luck on your interview. I think all the regular posters have answered you well touching upon everything that concerns the interview.

Take careful attention about your daughters interview alone. I think that's an exceptional point raised by Noorah.

Ian or Rete,

When are you going to tell me to read the subject line?

When is your interview if you don't mind me asking?
