Default I-751 - Vermont - Processing Time - 2nd Interview

Hi everyone,

I am a long time reader. You people are good. I know because I have
been around.

I want to start a discussion. I don't need any help.

1. If I was to send in my I-751 today (01/13/2005), how long would it
take to get it approved at VSC?

2. What percentage of applications are approved without 2nd interview?

3. What would you include in your file to ensure quick processing and
approval without 2nd interview?

Keep in mind we don't want to hire a lawyer. Lawyers are a waste of
money (especially if it is a simple case). I wouldn't give someone
thousands of dollars and have a legal assistant prepare my file who has
no idea of the particulars of my case.
Chime in everyone. All voices are welcome.

Mike.

Our experience is already out on Kamya, along with heaps of others. I can't tell you if will apply to your case, but you can probably make a good guess based on other folks' stories. We never involved a lawyer, just for background.

Good luck!

Okay... I'll bite.

1. If I was to send in my I-751 today (01/13/2005), how long would it

It'll take about 3 weeks.

2. What percentage of applications are approved without 2nd interview?
Most of them, probably 90%.

3. What would you include in your file to ensure quick processing and
approval without 2nd interview?
I would include everything that is asked for on the application form.

Keep in mind we don't want to hire a lawyer.
That's good, I'm not a lawyer - and my answers were all guesses! But hey, you said you wanted a discussion and you didn't need help.

Check the USCIS website for the going timeline for the removal of conditions. Believe it is currently in the 9 month range.

2. What percentage of applications are approved without 2nd interview?
Why are you asking about a second interview? What happened to the first?

3. What would you include in your file to ensure quick processing and
approval without 2nd interview?
There you go again with a second interview. Again, I ask what happened to the first?

The filing of an I-751, unlike the initial AOS, does not require an attorney. If you succeeded with the AOS which you must have if you are at this point, you won't have a problem with this one.

You are a kidder SP

90% of what? A second interview. Never ever heard of anyone going to a second interview for the removal of conditions. Sometimes people for a first interview but never heard of a second one.

I would include everything that is asked for on the application form.
That means reading the instructions ;-)

Now we are damn glad of that Ian.

Hi Mike!

We might be good people, but it doesn't mean we know all the answers. And, as you said about lawyers...they don't know the particulars of your individual case....but neither do we. Also, if you don't need help and just want to start a discussion, why would you even be thinking about a lawyer and the cost involved? Lastly, your questions aren't really "opinion" type questions. They do have direct answers, but only after someone has been through it and can tell you their own experience, which will have no bearing on your own case and it's progress.

And thus spake my voice. LOL
