Biometrics last week of Feb. We did a walk-in several weeks before the scheduled appointment. Most had theirs earlier. We were kinda slow getting the appointment, but others from our same ACS were also slower to get appointments. Must have been a local office thing. However, the approval has come before others with earlier bio appts. I don't think there's a correlation between bio date and approval.
Yes, all normal. You just send it and let it trickle through the system. VSC is slower than CSC by at least a month or more right now.

My husbands biometrics was in NYC March 18th. It was also sent to VSC. Hopefully in the next month or two hus card will arive.

For the I-751, your initial case number on your receipt won't work. Once you get the biometric appointment letter, there will be a new number to enter in the case status updates page. Once it finds your case, there are links to sign up for text, email, or both. If anything changes on your case status, you'll get a text that tells you it changed. Log in on the website to see what's new. The email will also tell you what the status change is...like card production ordered. Nothing changed on mine until the approval.
