Hi everyone. I have recently (on Feb. 6) sent a response to an I-751
RFE at CSC. I sent it registered mail and I know it was delivered on
Feb. 9. I have still not received a receipt from CSC. Should I be
expecting it? Or does the CSC not issue them when they receive the
additional evidence requested? I'm not sure if I should be worried or
not. Does anyone have any experience in the matter?
Regards,
Marek

No I don't have any experience in this matter, but my husband & I did file our joint I-751 petition 8/18/05. We are still waiting for a response from them we have heard nothing now going on 7 months outside the NOA that extends his GC for 1 year which we received within 1 week of filing. When did you file your I-751 petition? Was it a joint petition? When did you hear back from the CSC? What type of RFE did they ask for? I hope you don't mind me asking you these questions but we are also in the midst of our I - 751 petition. Hope to hear from you real soon.
Fondly
June

Hi June,
We filed our joint petition on 6/30/2005 and a few days later received
the NOA. We received the RFE on 1/17/2006. It looked like a standard
form, asking for 2 passport photos, evidence of good faith marriage and
residence (we of course submitted evidence of good faith marriage and
residence previously). I re-submitted everything and added some new
evidence since the time we filed I-751. Now just waiting. Hope this
helps!

Hi Marek,
I'm in exactly the same situation as you, filed in June '05, RFE in
January '06
Guess we'll both hear something about the same time.

Thanks so much for responding back to me. What type of additional evidence did you submitt that supports your good faith marriage and residence? What type of evidence did you originally submitt? Good luck to you. I know everything will work out for you & I hope us to. Appreciate a response regarding my two questions.

Denis, did you get a receipt after you filed your response to RFE? I
did not. Just wandering what CSC's practice is...

Hi June,
Both times we filed the standard things:
1) financial docs (tax returns, bank and credit card statements showing
joint accounts, life insurance policies showing spouse as beneficiary,
copy of lease)
2) to prove residence - copy of apartment lease, various correspondence
to both of us, utility bills.
We also previously submitted 2 affidavits from friends attesting to our
good faith marriage.
Hope it helps,
Marek

Thanks for your response. My husband & I sent almost the same things you did, but for the first 2 1/2 years of our marriage we lived with my parents & didn't have rent/lease or utility bills. We finally were able to buy are own home last 3/25/05 so we were able to send about 5 months worth of our joint mortgage statements, joint utility bills, & the joint grant deed to our house. We of course sent everything else that covered the entire time of our marriage as you did, (joint tax returns for 2002, 2003, 2004, joint car insurance, joint medical, dental, vision insurance, joint monthly billing statements on both of our car loans, life insurance showing my husband as the beneficiary, iteniary from trips we took, 6 letters from friends & my mother attesting to our marriage, pictures together & with friends, joint Costco card, both our drivers licenses from both our residences, both of our social security cards, a letter from me attesting to our marriage & life together, correspondence from our church sent to the both of us, greeting cards given to the both of us some with envelopes that were addressed to us, & so much more). My only concern is the fact that we lived with my parents for the first 2 1/2 years of our marriage & didn't have anything to show that we paid rent because we did not we were saving money to buy a house. What do you think? I did explain this in the letter I wrote. Your response would be greatly appreciated. Good luck to you.
Fondly
June

Hi Jenny
I also filed I-751 with receipt date of June 9, 2005.
I was requested 2 photographs from USCIS (California Service Center), which my lawyer sent
to them in january,2006.
In March, 2006 I inquired about my case status by calling National Service Center. Today I
received a mail saying that they haven't received my photographs and hence my case is in
supense or hold until they recieve the photographs..
Do you know which address (California Service Center) did you send the photograph? My lawyer is on vacation and I dont know which address to send the photographs. It will be great help
if you can reply to my email as soon as possible.
I want to re-send the photographs myself and then handle the situation.
Many Thanks
Raj
