Ok I am totally confused now.
We filed thru Nebraska to remove our conditions.. It has been almost a year
since I received our receipt. Our green cards will expire VERY soon.. I am
trying to find out how I can contact Nebraska to find out what is going on.
I called our local BCIS office.. but they say that my case can't be found..
so I am assuming that Nebraska is still handling the cases filed before they
even had BCIS?
can someone offer me some help.. a phone number for Nebraska service
center..?
I really find it hard to believe that I may have to go and stand in line for
hours at the Immigration dept. just to ask a question like WHERE is my GREEN
CARD? lol

Hi, from postings to the newsgroup it seems that I-751 applications have been backlogged and many people have had to apply for, or (Vermont) received mailed extensions around the time the card expires.
If you do not receive the extension you will need to go down to the BCIS office and apply for it (with passport).
If you have lost your passprt, it is a good idea to replace it - it will make things harder in dealing with BCIS without it.
I have had no luck calling Nebraska and the national helpline appears to be no help either, giving out weird information which may or may not approximate 'truth'.
