I-751 & Naturalization

Are there are any problems with filing for Naturalization before your I-751 has been approved?

I am eligible to apply for citizenship in January, but my I-751 is still pending.

No problems whatsoever. This is quite common. The N-400 will actually force an adjudication of the I-751 since the I-751 must be adjudicated and approved prior to an approval of the N-400.
