Question I-751 Interview, Divorced

Hoping someone can help,
I was married for 2.5 years, divorce final Oct/03. My interview is on Nov 23rd in Jacksonville, FL. Married in good faith, Canadian Citizen.
How much questioning is based on the reason for the divorce? Or is the interview mainly about proving the marriage was entered in good faith? Any other info on questions asked would be helpful.

Thanks for any help.

I'm guessing that you withdrew your original I751 and re-filed the I751 with a good faith Waiver?

No, actually I filed my I-751 (with good faith waiver) in Dec of '03. I am just now getting my interview.

Thanks,
Amanda

I am still hoping someone can help me out with my question. This group seems to have a lot of knowledge, that's why I posted my question here...

TIA

Regardless of how much knowledge the group has... each interview will be different.

Hi there,

I was in a similar position earlier this year. Had the I-751 interview in Charleston SC. It is true that each interview is different. Like yours, mine was good faith waiver-based. Here's my original post on the interview I had:

Yours could be better (I hope!) or worse...who knows?

Good luck

Best approach is to be prepared for both scenarios. Odds are you will be asked questions regarding both and should be prepared to answer and show proof of the validity of your good faith marriage.

asm,

What we don't have is the particular knowledge that's the key to answering your question
- what personal information was contained in the materials that you submitted with your I-751, and prior submissions, and
- what are the sensibilities and MO of the interviewer you'll be facing.

Good luck to you.

Regards, JEff
