Hello group,
I filed form I-751 with the CSC about a year ago, and I just received
a letter inviting me and my USC spouse to an interview. The interview
is on May 24 at the Santa Ana (Calif) office. Today is the 11th.
I am now elegibile for naturalization (my conditional permanent
resident status was granted in early August 2001). Should I:
a. File form N-400 (naturalization) right now.
b. Fill out form N-400 and take it to the Santa Ana office on May 24.
c. Wait for the outcome of the May 24 interview, and then file N-400.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Has anybody done this at Santa
Ana recently?
Angel.

Personally, I'd go with option a).
The problem with b) is that the person giving you your interview is unlikely
to accept the N-400, so you'd have to wait in line after your interview,
which would make for a long day.
You could do c) if you want, but I assume you're confident there will be no
issues with the interview and that you will get your unconditional GC with
no porblems. Why wait?
