I-751 Filing Question . . .

My CPR expires on 02/26/06 which puts the 90 day window at 11/28/05. It is ok if sign, date and mail it tomorrow 11/26/05, or should I wait and drop it in the mail on Monday?

I will be good to finally get this phase over with. :) While we have been in the document collection mode ever since AOS. Unlike the K-1/AOS process which happens so close together you almost feel out of practice in terms of document collecting/form filling when I-751 comes around.

Personally, I would wait until the 28th to sign, date and send. Do you really want to chance your application being returned to you due to early filing?

Hi:

To be honest, I'm not exactly sure how to count the 90 days. Note that 90 days AFTER November 28, 2005 is February 26, 2006 because you do NOT count November 28, 2005 in the 90.

So, an argument can be made that November 29th is the first day. The rules on counting backwards? I don't know. So it scares me. Its just easier to file two days later.

In an abundance of caution, I'd ship it out on the 30th.

I will ship it out on the 30th then. Based on the paralell universe that the USCIS seems to operate in, I will wait. Thanks. Always helpful as always.

I mailed my package off to the VSC today(with all usual package tracking/return receipt etc).
I use the USPS web site a lot to generate and print the postage online. That way I can save time at the post office. I tried doing this for my I-751 submission, but I ran into a little problem. The USPS web site "normalizes" the recipients address(to fit within their standards). However while the I-751 instructionsshow the delivery zip code as 05479-0001 the USPS "corrects" the zip to be 05479-9000. A minor problem for sure but one that everyone should be aware of.
