Default I-751 Filed - No Biometrics Appt Yet

I'm starting to worry but I'm not sure if it's premature...

We filed our I-751 at VT last month, it was received and our NOA1 generated on 2/23/09. We received that in the post 2/28/09.

As of yesterday's post (3/16) we have still not received the biometrics appt letter. I've been looking around trying to see what the norm is & I keep seeing people who had received their letter about a week after the NOA1.

Should I be worried? Or am I over-reacting and just need to wait?

Has anyone experienced a 3 week lag between the NOA1 and the biometrics appt letter?

I filed at VSC, it was accepted on Feb 2nd, and the biometrics appointment letter arrived on Feb 14th. My biometric appointment was for Elizabeth, NJ.

I believe biometrics letters can vary quite a bit in their timing from case to case because there's a dependency on your local application support center. If your local center is small or really busy then it might take a bit longer for them to schedule the appointment.

My advice is give it another week, and if it hasn't arrived then give them a call. I was able to speak to a real live person by calling the 1-800 number that is on the case status webpage.

I filed in July 2007. As I can remember I didn't get biometrics appt till October 2007. Took 3 months.
