Default i-751 filed late

Hi,

I wanted to follow-up on a posting I placed here in August of this
year:

http://groups.google.com/group/alt.v...861bde1fd35f12

In summary, I filed my wife's i-751 1 month late. I was very concerned
especially after what I read on the USCIS's web-site. I went ahead and
submitted the required paper work; along with an additional letter
explaining why I was filling late (we had just had a baby and in all
the excitement simply forgot).

For those people in a similar situation this will hopefully over a
little reassurance.

1 month later we received the same acknowledgement letter anybody who
had filed on-time would have received.
My wife was called for fingerprinting as normal a couple of weeks after
that.
And today she received her new 'unconditional' green card.

We live in California and were processed by the Service Center in
Laguna Niguel.

Cheers.
