Default I-751 experience at Newark - Please share

We just received my wife's letter for an interview the Newark office
for her I-751. I have been looking on the web for recent experiences
and it appears all the posting are a bit older. I would like to get
some feedback from anyone who has gone through the same process
recently. Specifically I am wondering about:
* We have a schedule interview time. Does this mean we do not need to
show up early and wait in line? Will we be seen at the time stated on
the form?
* What type of info do we need to bring- the letter just states
pictures and passport. However, from past experiences, I am sure they
will require further info
* What can we expect from the interview (process, questions?)
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in
advance.

No you don't have to show up at the crack of dawn. However be early enough that if you have problems finding parking, etc. that you are not late. Plan on being there bout 1/2 hour before the appt. Doubt if your appt is 10 at you will be seen at 10. Most probably between 10 and 11.

Bring new style photos as outlined on the CIS site. They are the passport style. Bring your expired GC, NOA and proof of your relationship. Everything you sent with the I-751 plus update with the newer items saved after filing.

* What can we expect from the interview (process, questions?)
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in

Expect the same thing as for your AOS interview. Good luck and add your experiences to the I-751 experience pages when you are finished. Not many people get called to I-751 interviews and those that do should post so that others who are as unlucky know what to expect.

Thanks

Al:

Rete already did an awesome job answering your questions. When did you file your I-751, when did VSC notify [if they did] that your case was being transfered to Newark for an interview, and when did Newark send you the letter for the interview?

Some people here is also waiting for Newark to interview them in regards to I-751's and it was part of a discussion recently how long does Newark take to schedule the interview after VSC notifies the applicant, can you please answer my questions and shed us some light?

Thank you and I wish you the best of luck on your the interview.

What do you mean that most are not called for the interview?
Are most automatically appoved through the mail? I saw this was true
on older postnig but I assumed things have chnaged with recent changes
in the INS.

Al:

It has always been like that, 90% approx. get approved without interview, and the other 10% get called for interview because of being randomly picked, not enough evidences, or other circunstances regarding surrounding the marriage such as age differences, prior marriages, etc.

Can you answer my questions that I posted to you regarding when did you get letter from VSC telling you the file transfer, and when you actually got letter from Newark?

Filed 12/02, Received NOA fom VSC in 1/03. Received a letter
stating the case was in Newark only after writing to them and getting
in touch with my congressman's office.
