No. When applying on the basis of marriage you must have been a PR for 3 years and still be married to the same US citizen for those 3 years.

You can apply 3 months (90 days?) sooner than 3 years if you meet all of the other requirements at the time you apply.

Read M476 - A Guide to Naturalization.

And, if you meet all of the other requirements at the time of application. Not everyone does.

Exactly the response I was looking for, thank you Ian.

After posting, I used the search bar to look up N400 threads. Very useful information obtained from previous threads and many questions answered. A good place to read for other members who are reaching this point.
Also, all this information (and more!) is in the USCIS Guide to Naturalization, found at www.uscis.gov.

In case you're not already aware, you can file the N-400 even if your I-751 has not yet been adjudicated... so you can file the N-400 when you're otherwise eligible to file. Indeed, filing the N-400 will force adjudication of the I-751.

Thanks Ian,

I think when the time comes, this is the path we'll pursue. The sooner I get to american citizenship, the better really. That said, for now we'll focus on first getting my CR-1!

Appreciate the information,

Rich.

I received an email notification yesterday that our 10 year Green Cards are being produced. It took about 7 and a half months from the date that I sent in my pack to remove conditions. All being well, we will send in the paperwork for citizenship this summer.

Oh that's not too bad! Congrats! I might only have 3-4 months to wait for mine then, if a similar timeframe.
