Default I-751 Certified return mail

I sent my I-751 package in on May 6, 2004 and received the certified return
card on May 13. It was stamped for May 10. Will they cash my $200 check
when the receive the package or do the cash it when they start processing
the petition? I am looking at my online bank statement waiting for the
check to cancel as an indication they are working on it.

A week or two after mailing, you will get a notice indicating your PR
status has been extended by a year. That would be an indication they
have it.

VSC cashed my check a couple of days after receiving the package - in fact I
saw that online a day before I received the return receipt. I got the NOA a
few days later. You don't say which service center but most are now pretty
efficient about this stage, it's just the processing that takes a long time!

Andy.

It is the California Service Center and I checked my online banking and they
have cashed the check so at least I know the package was not lost in the
system.
