Free at last! I have finally received my approval letter from VSC. Here's my
timeline:
Filed I-751 August 28th 2001. Received NOA first week in October 2001 (dated
September 26th) June 7th 2002 received letter telling me conditions had been removed
(dated May 27th.) {my conditional greencard expired on Nov 22nd 2001.)
Thanks goodness it is over with. However, I now have to make the trip to NYC to apply
for the actual card. Anyone give me any tips on the best days to go to avoid
extremely long lines?
Good luck to everyone else out there! Mel

Congrats! VSC is definitely speeding up I-751s. I can't help with NYC I'm afraid!

WOW ... congratulations on getting your I-751 approval from Vermont in only ten months. Yes it does look like they are speeding up. Sent ours in May 17 and got two NOA's; one May 23 and one May 25.
As for NYC INS, there is no good day to go. I, personally, would stay away on Monday mornings. I believe you only have to go to the 8th floor (Section 245 processing) to complete the same form you completed when you were approved for AOS. You know the one with your signature and fingerprint. Wednesday sounds nice as does Friday if you can get the entire day off. Get there by 7 in the morning so that the line is not around the corner[s] and down the block.
