Default I-751 - Approval??

Hello,

This is weird. I got my approval notice for the I751 today, it says that I am deemed to be a lawful permanent resident and that I have to go to my local office to give them photos for my new card. Here is the strange part...I only filed the I-751 form 2 months ago!! Maybe this is normal, but from most of the posts on here it seems like I am MONTHS ahead of where I should be in the system.

Here is my timeline:
March 2002 - Moved to Charlotte, NC to marry my lovely wife. I was on a K1 fiancee visa.
June 2002 - Applied for Conditional Permanent Residence (i forget the form number).
May 2003 - Had interview at Charlotte office, approved, got stamp in passport. Received conditional greencard a couple of months later.
March 8th 2005 (I think, sometime that week anyway) - sent in I-751 application to Texas Service Center.
March 19th - Received first notice of action, saying it would take at least 120 days to process the form. Creencard extended for 12 months. NOA is dated 03/14/05.
May 20th - Received letter saying the case has been approved.

Is this awfully quick? Should I be worried??

Hey, who am I to deny you the apparent joy you find in worrying.

In all seriousness, the I-751s have been adjudicated quicker these days. Take your good luck in stride and do as requested.

Congratulations.

Lately it's been very fast, on the order of 14-30 days. I believe my
wife's "10 year" card arrived in 16 days or so (our local USCIS office
is Charlotte NC)

well, i scheduled my infopass appt last saturday for thursday (today) at
10:20am at the el paso district office. when i got there at 9:30am there was
a long line. the officer told me to go to the front of the line. once it was
my turn the officer there gave me a number and said they are waiting for me.
that is 40minutes before my appt. i went to the counter and the officer
there took my passport, old green card (the conditional one), my 3 passport
photos, my NOA and my appointment letter (which i printed off the infopass
confirmation page). i wear glasses and the passport photos were made when i
was wearing them. she said that this will probably be a problem. i told her
that i checked the passport guide online and it said that if the person
normallly wears glasses then the photo should be taken with glasses on. then
after 10 minutes seating time she called me to the back where she stamped my
passport and took two fingerprints of my index finger. the passport says
approved for removal of conditions, valid for one year. then she said that i
could go. 10 minutes, that is the fastest i have ever been through this
place. last time it took me an hour and a half and i thought that was quick.
all in all, terrifc experience. just waiting to see how long it will take
for my real green card to show up. the officer told me 6 to 8 months. we'll
see.
