Got a quick question...we'd appreciate any help that we can get!
Once we receive the confirmation that my husband's I-751 has been
received, extending the duration of the conditional residency, does
this extension also automatically apply to the AP or do we need to
apply for further AP? Essentially, we're applying from outside the US
(long story--my husband Graham/Targaff has probably told it in here in
the past) and so AP is super-important for us!
We won't talk about the likelihood of being denied :/
Thanks in advance!

You have not needed AP since you or your spouse became a permanent
resident (if "AP" is a reference to advance parole)

For Heidi's husband who is using a re-entry permit (not AP Heidi) because he is working outside of the US for more than a year, the answer is yes, he needs to return to the US at some point and reapply for another re-entry permit before the first one expires.

Thanks for the clarification! I was trying to figure out what he was
asking me and possibly got things confused--it is a re-entry permit.
Further to that, however, would I be right in thinking that a CPR who
has applied for removal of conditions and has been granted the
extension is still considered a CPR until their application is
approved? And if that is the case, does that mean that a renewed
travel document would only be granted until the date of expiration of
the extension of CPR, i.e. one year after the original two year
residency that was granted?
And does that mean that a further re-entry permit would have to be
sought if/when the application was approved, if he were not able to
return permanently before then?

Sorry, one other thing: we're a little confused by another provision...
if he were to return to the US within a year of our last trip there
(December 2004), then, technically, would he need an extension of the
re-entry permit at all? In other words, we're hoping to return to
visit my parents this autumn...so it would be less than a year since
his last visit to the US in any case.
*sigh* If I had a dime for every time I'd wished we didn't have to
play this visa game on both sides of the Atlantic...maybe we could
actually afford our multiple visa fees!!
