Hi
I'm just wondering if anyone can explain the difference between the I-134 form and the I-864 form since they are both for the affidavit of support. My english fiance just received the forms he needs to send in before his interview at the embassy and they included the I-134 form. But on the government website it states there is two forms for the affidavit of support. Does it matter which type of form I fill out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The I-1864 affidavit of support is needed for after you marry and you adjust your status.
Good Luck xx

The I-134 is the affidavit of support needed for the interview at the London Embassy. THis has to be filled out by the US Citizen and notarized. Best to do this as soon as possible as you can't get send back the forms till you have had this done as well as all the other evidence that is required.

The I-134 is unenforceable and used for non-immigration visas such as the K visas.
The I-864 is enforceable and is used for immigration visas such as the I-130.
Your financee was given the correct visa by the US Consulate. You can d/l the form from the USCIS website so he does not have to mail it to you.
