I-134 sponsor
I was just wondering if anyone had any experience in submitting an
I-134 from someone other than my fiancee? i.e. a single sponsor whom
is not my fiancee. I don't believe this will cause any problems, but
it would be nice to hear from anyone else who has had to use this
route.

I could be wrong, but I believe that your fiancee must fill out a
i-134. Whether or not you have an additional sponsor is your choice.

I've actually got 'confimation' from the embassy in an e-mail that they are not required to fill one out if they do not fulfill the criteria.

wouldnt that make it more difficult though to get the visa in the first place ? especially if the beneficiary doesnt have enough themselves to say they wont be a wotsit on the state ?
thats part and parcel of the getting of the visa ....
which consulate said this ?

Also I have not come across any information on the BCIS site, the embasy site or on the instructions to the I-134 that the fiancee must be the one to fill in the form. I know people in various newsgoups say just as you are saying that they must fill one in, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience of this?
I know my query over this may sound unusual, but I'm only after the right information, and I know its an easy thing to say but neither one of us has any intention of relying on the state for help financially, that is not our intention.

I've never seen anything official on this either, but I would still
filll one out as the fiancee just to be safe if at all possible. If
not, good luck and let us all know how it goes.

Re: I-134 sponsor
Actually, now that I think about it, I believe that the Guatemala
Embasy told my then fiancee that I needed to fill out the i-134 no
matter what. I'm not sure if this is a general requirement, or just
one for this particular embasy. Like I said, do it if you can. Even
if you don't qualify. If not, good luck.
