I am applying to extend my parents' B-2 visas using the I-539.

Is the I-134 required to be filed with this application?

I've been reading on the internet that some people had submitted the
I-134 with the I-539, however this requirement is not explicitly
stated on the form (I-539).

I'd appreciate advice/direction from anyone who has any experience
regarding this issue or knows anything about it.

You don't need to file an I-134... you only need to write in how they plan on supporting themselves during the extension period.
