I'm not sure, I am a US citizen filing for my fiancee in Britian, but can I have a
notary public sign and stamp the affidavite of support? It says something about an
officer and an oath...What does that mean? My bookkeeper who is a notary was affraid
to sign it......Thanks for any help!!

I believe the instructions read..."a notary or consular officer'...should be no
problem...and yes you have to take an oath that what you are submitting is true...

I have a close friend that is a notary that took care of my I-134 for me. She did
comment that the wording on the form was not the normal statement that she
encounters.
