Default I-134 Affidavit of Support Question

Hi:

If my salary meets the 125% poverty line requirement, do I still need to provide statement from my bank showing my account balance to accompany the I-134 form in addition to the employment letter? Thanks.

No. Alvena

See the Doc Steen site here:
http://www.mindspring.com/~docsteen/...o/visainfo.htm I am not a lawyer, and this
is not immigration advice. The information I provide is mostly gleaned from old
newsgroup posts and visa links on the internet. If you want or need a lawyer, go to:

I guess what I need to know is it the poverty level + 25% over it or 125% over the
poverty level?

Then again, I dunno what the poverty level is. Do they go by the national average or
the area that you are going to live in?

see the link for poverty guidelines in the affidavit section of the Doc Steen site,
the 100% and 125% amounts are in a table form there. However, the new ones have just
come out, find them here: http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/02poverty.htm You take 125% (1
and 1/4) of the 100% amount to find the 125% mark that you have to achieve. It's a
rather modest amount, truthfully.,
