I-134 Affidavit of Support Question
I am employed and have at least 5 times the Poverty guidline income. I am sponsoring
for my fiancee. I have also a bank account and have decent balance, but since I was
single I had my mother (she does not earn any income in US) as a joint account holder
just few months back. I have past monthly balance statements earlier ones with my
single name, and since few months back joint account, or our both names appear on the
statements. Now as I was planning to attach these statemets as part of I-134 package,
I reliazed this. With this,
(1) does the I-134 had to be signed by both account holders?
(2) Is this a problem? Probably I can get a current balance statement only in my
name, but the statements will have two names.
(3) With I-134, I am attaching following documents, all notarized.
(a) I-134
(b) Employment Letter indicating my position, start date, salary, hire date
(c) 3 year Tax transcripts
(d) W-2's
(e) Bank account letter
(f) Bank statements, several months
(g) Pay stubs
Am I missing anything?
This site is great source of help. Thanks A lot!

Sorry, I can't answer your question, but you look like you have the answer to one of mine: What is the poverty limit? I know the sponsor has to be above it, but I don't know the actual income limit.

If you have the employer letter, you don't need the bank account info anyway. If you
want to include it, i would send it "as is." Alvena
See the Doc Steen site here:

Re: I-134 Affidavit of Support Question
There is document, that I recvd when I equested I-864/I-134 package from the INS
sometime back. It all depends on number of dependents you have now (including
yourself), and number of people you are sponsoring. For e.g. the povertyline income
for 3 dependents is minimum $18,287. So, if you are employed and have an individual
income which meets or exceeds 125 % of povertyline income.
