Default i-130 USC bringing parents

Hi, If i want to bring my parents that are in mexico right now. All i need is to submit form I-130? Do my parents that are abroad have to do anything else? If their petition gets approved do i get all the paperwork? or they get it over there? Thank you

Initially, yes... along with supporting documents.

Eventually, after the I-130 process is completed, they will be contacted to provide information (police certificate, medicals, etc) and they will be called for an interview. Once the visa is approved, they can come to the US. They will become US permanent residents the day they arrive.

And don't forget each parent needs his/her own separate I-130.

You are not yet a US Citizen so I do not know how long a wait your parents will have for their date to become current.

Hi:

File the I-130 in Chicago -- one for each parent. The normal immigrant visa process will then begin via the National Visa Center and they will then process through Cd. Juarez. Don't make the taxi reservations form Juarez to El Paso until they have the visa in hand. [ ]
