I am a perment resident and filing I-130 for my wife from US (she lives in China). I
am little confused about documents required with I-130. Do I need to include my birth
certificate? What if I don't have my birth certificate? Is there any thing else in
substitute of birth certificate?

Here is a list of supporting documents. Am i missing anything?

1) A copy of marriage certificate.
2) G-325a biographical information sheets (One for the petitioner and one for the
intending immigrant).
3) ADIT style photos.(One for the petitioner, and one for the intending immigrant.)
4) A copy of petitioner's proof of permanent residency.
5) A copy of the intending immigrant's birth certificate.

i don't recall seeing anything in the I-130 instructions asking for the immigrant
spouse's birth certificate, only the petitioner's. maybe i missed that but i'll
double check. other than that was the $fee and copy of divorce papers (if
applicable).
