Default I-130 Question. Please help

Hello,

My husband is filing I-130 for me and my 2 year old son. Does he need to file 2
I-130s (one each for me and my son) or should he file one I-130? Also I think he
should file 2 G325As - one for himself and one for me. Is that correct.

Thanks,

Crazy really because the G-325 is a biographic history and
a 2 year old hasn't got much of one, however that seems to be
the rules.

Hello,

If I understood correctly, my husband needs to file 2 I-130s (one for me and one for
my 2 year old son) and 2 G325As (one for himself and one for myself). Does he need to
file a 3rd G325A for my son?

Please let me know.

Hi there I think u need a seperate biographic data sheet for the petitioner and every
applicant. It is what i intend to include for our petition. Husband (US) myself and
my two teenage children (UK) However, as the previous posting indicated, it seems
silly to include one for a two year old. My advice to you is to include it. It is
better to "have it and not need it" then to "need it and not have it".

Your husband needs to complete one I-130 for you - with a G325A for you and him, and
then a I-130 for your son - with a G325A for him and your son. That's a total of 2
1-130s and 4 G325As. These are two separate applications, each must have all the
correct forms, and they may or may not be processed together, but they can be sent
together. You may have to send a lot of the same paperwork X 2 - so a copy of each
can be put in each file. Take Care. Shelley

Hello,

Does that mean that we pay the fees twice - one for filing for myself and one for
filing for my son?

Thanks,

Actually, if you read the instructions on the G325A, it is not required for someone
under the age of 14 (or is it 16? too lazy to look LOL). A separate I-130 *is*
required for the child, just not the G325A. We filed I-130's for my two kids, ages 6
and 9, and did NOT file the G325A with it. Also, the two year old will not be
required to get fingerprinted either.

you will have to pay the fees twice, though the I485 (if used) will be less for the
child than the parent.

Just in case you get confused (I did, and received advice on here)
There are 4 identical pages to the G-325A.
You have to fill in each page as they are sent to various departments.
I seem to remember that that is slightly different information on the bottom of each of the 4 pages relating to where they are sent.

Hello,

I did not see any instructions on G325A. Though I-130 has a couple of pages of
instructions.

They can fingerprint the 2 year old if they want to make a "mess" of things, I would
have no objections

It's strange what happens to the G-325a. When my wife and I received our forms from
the US embassy in London we each had only a single copied page for the form (not 4,
nor was it a multi-colored multi-part form). I didn't ask at the interview where the
other 3 copies were and it wasn't brought up. Many months ago I read a post here and
the poster noted that their 325a was sepearated and 3 copies were thrown away before
their eyes. I have my doubts about the efficiency of the INS
