I-130 process question

I-130 process question
Just out of curiosity if you cannot complete the I-130 process, say for example you could not get all your documentation in order on time, what happens? Can you re-file the petition again?
Asking as we are trying to get assets in order but to prove support, but may not be able to sell in time.
We wanted to know our options.
