Just downloaded the "package" for the I-485 Adjustment of Status for my wife and
after looking through some of the paperwork, I see a I-130. Is this something that is
supposed to be filled out? It seems the things that required for it are also required
in some of the other parts of this "package". I guess I just don't understand what
this form is for. Could some one help me understand this pls.

It all depends. Is she Adjusting status from a K-1 visa? If so, no need for
the I-130.
