I-130 and I-129F ? when does the I-129F get sent?
We, were approved with a 129F Visa in 2003, she arrived and went home
because her kid didn't like it here. She did not overstay... she
understayed (5weeks). I am familiar with the old I-129F but things
have changed.
2007 we finally decide to get married and DCF, date set, I fly to
Santiago Chile in February, and discover that the DCF processes were
halted three weeks before I arrive! We marry anyway since we had all
the plans made. I return and file the I-130 (since we are married)
and USCIS has recieved the application.
Case type: I-130 Immigrant petition for Relative, Fiance (E), or
orphan.
California Service Center. (I live in North Carolina, sent petition
to Texas, and California replied)
TIMELINE:
I-130 filed April 17, 2007
I-797 Notice of Action - notice date May 15, 2007
Now I discover that I can send a form I-129F and make it go faster
like the Fiance Visa. (this sounds good to me!)
Questions:
1- Was I supposed to send the I-129F in the same envelope with the
I-130 application?
2- If I send in an I-129F now, do I need to replicate everything that
I sent in the I-130 package? All those birthcertificates and ......
whew...
3- Where would I send the I-129F? California?
Thanks! DB

Thankyou Rene, you sound knowledgeable!
Your explanation was easy to follow, what's not easy is the
terminology of the immigration law. I thought I was smart, but this
USCIS stuff to be inexplicably complicated and convoluted.
My previous approval took an agonizing & inexplicable 181 days. I'm
hoping if we just leave it alone something will happen quickly and not
have a repeat of the previous wait.
Luck must be a factor in this process also. I wish we could get some
'immigration reform" on this VISA process for starters :-)
Thanks again, David

You're welcome, are you the OP (original poster)? Your name changed!
If you have any questions about terminology, let us know, we'll translate for you.
Approval for....? Be prepared for lengthy waits, that's sometimes the case with USCIS.
Best Wishes,
Rene

The I-129f for a K-3 visa is not sent to the same SC as the I-130; it is sent to the MSC via Chicago.

Yes, I'm the original poster. What happened was, I sign up for
"Google" and then post the message. Then I didn't refresh so the
message doesn't appear. So, I post-it again and this time I refresh
while my sign-in goes through! When I look now I've posted twice
under two different screen names but it's still ME! I have a patent
on my DNA so I can't steal me! All this chat is just to prove how
'smart' I am... Perhaps I'm just impatient :-) That's why we need
you! Thanks again. And the other poster makes a good point also.
Yes... it's just the rest of my life.. and today is the first day!
