Default I-130 / Do I have to disclose pre-existing medical issues? provide a letter from GP?

hi guys,
We are at the beginning of my application for the I-130.
They've now debited the money but no email acknowledgement yet.
My question today is, I know I will need a medical with a recommended doctor in London, as I've been reading lots of threads on here.
Do I need to provide anything from my GP about pre-existing conditions?
Or is it only the medical leading up to the interview they ask for?
Thank you in advance for any replies.

If you have a pre-existing condition it's recommended that you take a letter from your GP to your medical in Knightsbridge setting out your diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. If it's mental health related then your GP should include a statement that you're not a risk to yourself or others.

Like I said, it's recommended as it potentially saves time. You can always just attend your medical and deal with any information requests afterwards. This is what I did, maybe delayed my case by a week.

I would recommend getting letters regarding pre-existing medical conditions from your GP and / or specialists to take along to your medical. Try and make the letters as recent and up to date as possible.

Take the original with you, to show the doctor if asked, and have a copy already made to give to the doctor.

What the doctor wants to see is that any conditions you have are actively being managed, basically, along with what Bunny Girl outlined.

In my opinion and experience, having the letters to hand shows the doctor that you are in control of your health issues and that you are managing them effectively.

The doctor will also be better able to discuss your conditions with you if they can see the treatment that your GP / specialist is providing.

Having the letters to hand also takes away any stress / worry that you would have wondering what was going to happen if you got the letters later and sent them in.

Doing it all in advance also makes it less stressful and you're able to plan better, too.

Good luck.

If after the medical you find that you need to provide any further info from your GP to Knightsbridge doctors, then it is ok to email a copy of letters, at least that was what i had to do and it was Knightsbridge that informed me to do it that way. The real delay can be in getting any further info from your own GP........also at a cost.
