I just found out through the case status online that our I 130 visa
was approved March 11. Our original receipt date was March 6, 2002.
It was through TSC and then forwarded a month ago to NSC. I guess
there is hope for us after all. What do I do with emotions on this
one??????

Hello John,
This is kate. we filed our i-130 petition (souse) in Texas service center back in september 2002. We are still waiting for the approval. I was reading your meessage and i found out that yours was files too in texas service center the same year and 6 months ahead of us. Would you think ours will get processed this year ? When i check my stus oinline it alwas says 990 to 999 days

I do not think they are updating the status until some decision is taken. Any personal experience ? Do you knowe someone who else got approved in march too ? the sire says they are dealing with application (i130 immediate relative) that goes back to jan 2002 . Any advice ?

Kate
If you havent gotten a letter saying TSC has forwarded your petiton
then chances are TSC still has your peition. You just have to
keep watching to see if the case status will update. When mine got
forwarded it told me 500-550 days to be processed and I knew it was
wrong because NSC is on 7-11-02. I would think it would be at
least 6 months to hear anything.

Thnaks Brenda for the encouragement. We waited so long and as you said we are leaving it in the hands of God. We might get the approval sooner than we have expected according to their processing dates.

Well sorry iw as not being able to reply. We were in texas lately and we came back today. It was a long journey. My husband's brother is dying of cancer. I am gald that you filed the same time as we filed and in the same service center. In case something happens to either one of us i will inform you soon. One thign we have not filed is the i485 yet even though i ahve been here for 8 months. The reason for that is whenever i call the service center they tell me you cannot file the i485 until you get an approval. It might be i was misleaded by this center. Well we waitied long and there is few months left now. Hope everyhting goes well with both of you.
By the way have you filed the i485 yet (spouse) or you are waiting like me ?
Do you have an msn id?

Our I-130 was approved in mid-February, NOA April 25, 2002. They are finally starting to move on these cases... If they keep it up at this rate, it may not take too much longer for you.
