Hi everyone, I need some help regading the I-130 form.

In section 3 there is a question regarding ones intended departure. Do you have to
specify a date and a trip length?

For example my father is being treated for bowel cancer; his condition could
deteriorate at any moment which would probably require me to return. At the same time
this may never occur? How does one fill in the form to cover this type of situation.

Thanks to anyone who has info on this topic!

It is form I-131 and no you don't need a specific departure date. On a separate sheet indicate that you need a multi-entry A/P so that you can be available to visit your father who is currently being treated for cancer. This should be enough to get you a one year multi-entry A/P.
