Re: I-130
Also, I don't really have proof of combined finances. When I first moved to London the bank wouldn't put me on my husbands bank account. They offered me a very basic account and thats what I've had ever since. Although because we do share responsibility for bills and rent we transfer money between our accounts quite regularly. Should I include a bank statement showing the transfers? If so how many months worth and do I need to put an explanation with it?

You don't need a cover letter, but we provided one to make it easier for whoever would process our petition because we had so many varying documents, evidence, etc. It depends on personal preference really.
As to proof of combined finances, I would include evidence of the money transfers and explain it the way you have here, but definitely also provide evidence of the relationship in the form of a short summary of your relationship history and any photos/tickets/itineraries, etc. + affidavits of support, i.e. letters from friends and family attesting to the bona fide nature of your marriage (this is the weakest form of evidence but if you don't have much else, it's an option).
Good luck!

You're very welcome I would, just a photo of the card will suffice as long as the text is readable. You should caption everything anyway to make it clear what the officer is looking at.

Should I send screen shots of text messages between the two of us? We live together so we don’t really phone each other much but we do text quite a bit during the day when we’re at work.
