Default I-129F Proof of visit?

Hey all... I have been reading your posts and I appreciate all your
information so far...It's been a big help getting to this point.
I am engaged to a Brazillian girl and I am from the USA.

We met in Cancun Mexico for our first meeting in early September and now
that I am preparing to fill out the I-129F I find that I do not have my
E-ticket to prove my airfare to Cancun Mexico... I do however have a printed
itinerary and reciept that I paid for it, when I purchased it online as well
as my Passport.
I also have a computer printed reservation/reciept in Cancun as well as
actual Credit Card statements to prove I was in Cancun at that time since I
charged the whole trip on my credit card.

My questions are...
1.) Will these printed papers and a few actual 35mm photo's of us together
and a stamped passport stamped by the Mexican athorities, and Credit Card
statements be enough to prove I was in Mexico with her at the same time?
She still has her Tickets so there's no problem proving where she was.

2.) I plan to go to Brazil to see her again on November 28 2002. thru
December 4, 2002.
Should we get married in Brazil and do the DCF proccess instead? Would that
be quicker than submitting the Fiance Visa from the States in late October
in leu of my E-ticket being lost for our Cancun trip.
I am trying to decide which of these proccesses would get her to the USA the
fastest.
It seems to me that If we get married in Brazil we might gain a months time
at the maximum. Can this be accomplished if I am only staying in Brazil 1
week, or should we just continue our original plan and file the petition
from here in the USA in late October?
Thanks in advance !!!!!

Paul,
Unfortunately I can't answer all of your questions, but I did have a
comment with regards to your decision between K-1 or DCF in Brazil.
My fiance and I were trying to decide on which option was best for us
as well (except in our case the consulate was in Spain). We went to
the Civil Registry in Barcelona to try and find out what documents we
needed to get married and how soon we could get a marriage date. It
turned out to be quite a lenghty and complicated process and they
told us the soonest we could get a marriage date would be in December
(we went in to talk to them at the beginning of September). Anyway,
once we found that out, we decided it was just as quick if not quicker
to go the K-1 route.
I suggest you have your fiance go to the civil registry in Brazil,
if she hasn't already, and make your decision according to the info.
she receives.
Good Luck!

One of the problems I had, specific to Brazil and a K3 or DCF, was that the
process for a divorced American citizen to get married in Brazil first
seemed very cumbersome. If anyone had a different experience, chime in.

We decided K1 not because the DCF was a problem ( we would have preferred
this route ), but because getting married in Brazil first was complicated by
my divorce.
