I-129F Nebraska Service Center processing times
Hi,
I've noticed that on some Service Center bullitens, the I-129F processing times are
listed. On all the ones I have seen for the Nebraska Service Center (for example:
http://www.shusterman.com/nsc.html) I've only seen I-129 (petition for non-immigrant
worker), not the "fiance" petition. Should I assume that the I-129F is bundled in the
reported times?
Thanks,
Wim
PS. My first NOA was receipt on 4/12/02.

No, I don't think you should make that assumption.
I recall reading an NSC AILA liaison report a year or so ago, and in that report it
was specifically asked if the NSC would break out different categories for I-129's on
their reports. Their reply was to the effect of (this is not word for word as I don't
have that liaison report in front of me... its in my files) "since most of the
I-129's are processed at roughly the same rate (various nonimmigrant worker
categories), we don't see the need to break out separate categories on the reports,
however we might start breaking out a separate report for I-129f's as those are
processed at a different rate".
I started writing letters to the NSC each time a new report came out, reminding them
of what they said in their liaison report and asking them to list a seperate category
for I-129f, however my letters did not result in this change in the reports. I
finally gave up.
