As of March 4th 2004
----------------------------
CSC: August 11th 2003
NSC: Sep 30th 2003
TSC: Oct 24th 2003
VSC: Jan 20th 2004
Previous dates as of Feb 20th 2004:
---------------------------------------------
CSC: July 31st 2003
NSC: July 24th 2003
TSC: Sep 10th 2003
VSC: Jan 20th 2004
Hopefully CSC should pick up speed once the Adjudicators return back to I 129F case files next week after their temporary TPS project work.
NSC, after being the official slowest has gained tremendous momentum for the last 2 weeks. They have covered two months cases in just 2 weeks.
Meanwhile VSC, unusually has stayed on the same date for two weeks.

Yes, I am REALLY hoping that is the case. It SUCKS to be stuck in THE
SLOWEST SC as of right now..
Any idea if they're still on schedule to switch back on March 9th, as
previously indicated by Folinskyinla?

Sorry guys, wonder if you could point me to a FAQ for the acronyms.
We sent an I-129F to the Chicago address on Jan. 22, the check cleared
on Feb. 9, but we have not received anything (not even a first NOA) as
of to date, March 7.
Wonder which center (CSC, NSC, TSC, or VSC) is processing our
application. We are from Toronto, Canada.
Any way to find out the status of our application, before we contact
my congressman as someone suggested?
Thank you again for your kind help.
Cheers,
Bernard

What do you mean "we"?
Not sure why you mailed it to Chicago - unless that's a thing to do with
NSC?
AFAIK, all I-129Fs go to the Service Center, not the Local Office. I could
be wrong, though.

Bernard,
If I remember correctly from an earlier post of yours, you filed a K-3 - those go to NBC (National Benefits Center) (formerly known as MSC - Missouri Service Center) irrespective of where you live. These I-129F dates are for K-1 applications (fiance) which one needs to file at the appropriate service center based on where you live in the US.
CSC = California Service Center
VSC = Vermont ...
NSC = Nebraska ...
TSC = Texas ...
Regards,
Amol

Sorry guys, mea culpa. Of course the I-129F is for both K-1 and K-3.
I thought the dates posted are for K-3. Thank you for clearing it up.

Bernard

Hi Bernard, my fiance and I are going for a K1, not a K3, so I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure you should have gotten an NOA1 by now. I've read that you can find your receipt number on the back of the cashed check - not sure if this is true but if you can see a copy of the cashed check from your bank it's worth a try. At least with the receipt number you can check your status online and make inquiries about your case over the phone.

Why not just set up this link and check it out every once in a while.
It's the government's own immigration services site. Select the
Service Center for your area and click Show Table, et voila!!

Enjoy!!

Thanks. I tried this morning but it (the back of my check) was very
hard to read. I was able to see the receipt number quite clearly on
the cleared check for the I-130 application. But for the I-129F, I
can barely make out something like:
BANK ONE
CHICAGO, IL 60670
BCIS AOS ACCT PROC <- (not sure)
Just enough that I do not think the mail was lost and the check
cleared by someone else, but not enough that I can make out the
receipt number.
Does the receipt number starts with "LIN" like the I-130 one?
The 800 number does not work from Canada. I tried calling the U.S.
Consulate, they were not much help. I would say people in this
newsgroup are of more help than they are, :-).
Thank you again.
Cheers,
Bernard
