Default I-129F (KII for K3) / I130

Hello Group

I need some advice - help!

My wife is the USC, I'm a UKC. We're going down the I130 + I-129F (KII for K3 visa)
route ... she has petioned for a I-130 and subsequently for a I-129F for a K3 visa.

The I-129F was approved and the London Embassy sent me packet 3, which I've now
returned ... I'm now waiting for an interview.

We like the idea of the K3 visa, as it means that once the visa is approved, I can
sell my house (may take a few weeks, but may take many months!) and move to the US,
without the need to enter the US (on a permanent basis) within a few months as with
the I-130.

Yesterday, we received a NOA on the I-130 saying that this petion was approved and
was being sent to the NVC.

Can someone explain what the significance of having both the I-129F
(K3) and I-130 petions approved means ... and what options (advantages /
restrictions) that this gives us.

TIA

Den

It can takes months for the I-130 approval to reach London.

The advantages of entering on a spouse visa (result of I-130)

1. Become permanent resident upon entry to the US
2. No need for work permit
3. No need to go through the process of adjusting status.
4. Less time to citizenship
