Default I-129F Form

Nowhere on the form or instructions does it tell you who to make the $110 payment out to. I have been told it's the "US Treasury". Is this correct?

I made mine payable to the INS (this was pre-BCIS). They cashed it, so that was good enough for me.

I made mine to the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services.

I'd quite like a lawyer's answer on this one as they must advise all the time. I have phoned the BCIS and they also said "US Treasury" but everyone says different things.

They cashed in ours (which was made payable to BCIS) nonetheless... Let's hope this is NOT the reason for our slight delay .
