On the Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) I-129F form:

Question #5, Part "D" says "

"Original STATEMENTS from you and your fiancé(e) whom you plan to marry within 90 days
of his/her admission, and copies of any evidence you wish to submit to establish your
mutual intent."

* Would someone please help me define what the INS means here by use of the term
"STATEMENT" ?
a) Do they want an original, signed letter signed by both of us?
b) Do they want an original, signed letter from EACH of us?
c) Do they mean BANK, BILLING statements?

* Please help define "MUTAL INENT"

Sounds dumb, but I'd appreciate some help. Thanks, guys. -Amy [email protected]

They want statements from both of you and as much evidence as you can muster that you have
met in the last 2 years. By this they mean photo's together, ticket stubs, credit card
statements etc. KEEP A COPY OF EVERYTHING YOU SEND, in case they lose it.

Nope

> b) Do they want an original, signed letter from EACH of us?

Yup ... They said statements (plural). Therefore an original letter from each of you.

> c) Do they mean BANK, BILLING statements?

???? Where did you come up with that idea?

Mutual = means "common" or having the same feelings

Intent = means "purpose" "aim"

Statement = the act or result of putting in words

Think those definitions will clarify what INS wants from you and your intended.

Does anyone have a sample letter or any comments on how it should be addressed?

Thanks

Mike

dgdss,

Evidence of having met in person in the last 2 years is covered in instruction 5.C. Amy is
asking about evidence of a relationship and mutual intent, instruction 5.D.

Regards, JEff there are no stupid questions, but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots
