Greetings everyone.
Does anyone here have any experience with filing an I-129f petition for
alien fiancee? I have completed all the paperwork and I have heard
conflicting stories on whether or not to have an attorney file this
petitiion. What are things that would flag my petition for refusal. Any help
would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you have a pro-active congressman living in your area, they can
launch what is called a "congressional inquiry" into the status of the
application. They will write to the INS, on your behalf, and find out
EXACTLY where the application is, and what is being conducted on your
behalf.
Once this process is conducted, the file will be pulled from the
storage-room, and then be processed by someone individually, who is
going to give the congressman the answer that they want to hear - that
they are actively working on it.
We have a pro-active congressman in our district (Mr. Richard Pombo),
and I have been fortunate enough to have lived in one place for enough
time that it matters to the Congressman's office what i think;
Write to your congressman, it can't hurt.
