The officer at the port of entry put the date of the old employer's
H1B visa on I-94 and this one has expired October 1st 2002. So now I
have to file I-102 to get a new I-94 with the correct date (H1B
expiration date).

1- Did anyone have to go through this?
2- How long did it take you to get a response?
3- What was the outcome and did you encounter any problems.
4- Did you send it directly to INS or went to the regional office?

PS: I sent a request to DOS (department of state) to renew visa here
but they said i have to return to my country. I was hoping that by
revalidating the visa they would also replace the I-94.
