Default how recent does the letter of employment need to be?

I got mine from my HR department for the I-134 (for the K-1) in late March. It is dated such. I just now filled out the I-864 for my fiancee's AOS paperwork and need another one. Can I just use the old one? Do I need a newer and more recent one (the old one is just over 2 months old now--the letter). Is that too old?

Thanks!

We used a 3 month old employment letter. At the interview we also took current pay cheques (just in case). In the event we werent asked for anything at the interview and the old employment letter seemed to suffice for the postal application.
