How my wife and I met
Hi,
My wife and I met in a chat room a couple of years ago which evolve in a
long distance relationship and finally marriage.
Does anyone know how immigration typically views these events?
I ask because she is having her immigrant interview this week and we're
unsure of what to say when this question comes up.
Thanks all.

That's a very typical way of meeting each other in this day and age. If asked how you met and how the relationship developed, just tell the truth.
Best Wishes,

i met my husband on line too. we just had interview 2 months ago- the
question came up and we answer it. "we met on line". officer asked what
was the name of the dating service and we answered it too " it was msn
chat room, it wasn't dating service"
i wouldn't worry about that too much.

Hello,
My wife and I met on line too. There isn't anything to worry about
from that. It's just another way of meeting,
All the best

We met on British Expats though neither of us are British. The consular official in Amsterdam said that's how most people meet these days, online!

I *tried* the old-fashioned way. For every single guy at church or down the pub or at a dinner party there seemed to be 10 desperate single females!

Having just passed another birthday, I must remind you that we do not use the word 'old' anymore.
"Classic", "Rustic" or "Vintage" may be acceptable substitutes.
