Default how long until interview in usa?

Hi guys and gals,

I have now got my authorisation to work and leave the country if i want to travel. It took less than 3 months! Pretty good for California I think. I came in on a k1 visa. The next step is our interview. Any idea how long until that happens and what is its point? Just to check we are legit. Do we have to take more photos or is it just a chat.

Thanks guys and gals!!

How long it takes until your interview depends on your local office backlog.

The point of the interview is for the officer to determine that you are indeed a legitimate couple, married, living a joint life together. You should bring evidence of that to your interview. Photos, joint documents, joint accounts, joint bills, tax return showing "married", etc.
