Default How long until the Embassy is notifed?

I filed through TSC, does anyone know how long it usually takes them to
notify the Embassy (in Manila), that it's been approved and they should
send out packet 3?

Thanks

J, assuming you are talking about an approved I-129f, after it is approved, it is forwarded to the National Visa Center in NH. That could take about a week or so to get there. Then the NVC does something to it (I think they just sort it so that petitions going to the same consulate are together), and could about 2-6 weeks (that is their standard answer) for them to forward it to the Embassy. Then it could take a few more days/weeks? to get to Manilla.

I guess it could take anywhere from 2 or 3 weeks to 6-8 weeks for Manilla to get your approved petition. You can call the NVC to see if they have your petition (search for the number on here as I have forgotten it). You will need to follow the instructions to get to a live operator to ask about a K visa.

Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Jamie

Yes, they received my application on 4/20, and approved it on 8/4 -- I
wanted to know how long I should expect to wait before we get some new
paperwork to work on.

Will the online case status change when the NVC receives the petition,
or is that something you can only find out by calling?

Your case status doesn't change after you get the NOA2. You only find out your petition is at NVC by calling NVC. Once it goes to NVC and then on to the consulate abroad, you do not receive any further status updates. From then on, the consulate sends out Packet 3 to the fiance(e)/spouse abroad.

Best Wishes!
