how long is a I-130 valid for through DCF in London?

The I-130 form was sent off last June, and we recieved a file date of mid june and a petition / approval date of mid september. I have since had my medical in feb this year, and then also sent back the DS-230 part 1 in feb. My question is how long will the petition be valid for? Im not sure if its a year since the last doc was sent to embassy or the approval date.

The I-130 is valid for as long as it needs to be valid. Once the I-130 is approved it really isn't part of the process any more... and is superseded by the DS-230. So long as you continue to respond to requests within a year, your case will progress.
