how long after an RFE
Hi All,, Yea me again and yes we are still waiting told on the 11th October that ther wanted further evidence and information.. they wanted further proof of us meeting before the application went in in May, well they had photos and all but dont know what they did with those..!! andway how long do you think it will take to hear once they receive all the info back ..????
Also does anyone on here know how long Madrid takes to issue interviews?? I am getting so upset at the thought of missing my daughters wedding right now.. I need to be there by the beginning of December.!!

day after the paperwork hit my postbox and on the 18th of Oct. I was
approved.

It can vary. Sometimes it only takes1-2 weeks & other times it can take a month before you get the approval.

Well we both wrote that we intended to marry as soon as the application was approved, and I also wrote about my visit to Ken and enclosed photos of us together..We didnt send Boarding passes etc Like I have seen so many do,, but then we asked both the INS and the embassy beforehand what the suggest we send.. they said just the letter of intend and a couple of `photos would do at this point,, as I would be asked to fetch more information to te interview..... Also we first sent the application in at the end of April beginnig of may and had it retured after about 10day with a rejection notice pinned to it!!!! we showed a solicitor what we was sending etc and was told that it was all well,, he also spoke to someone at the INS centre and was told that all we needed to do was to return the package with the notice obn top and it would received priority when it was opened.. so as you can see we feel like we have been messed about very much by them and it is all very upsetting.. as for getting help from a congressperson,, well thats the biggest waste of time,, so far they have done nothing!! Everything will be back with them now by Tuesday,, I still havent given up hope of getting to my daughters wedding, but I cant sem to find anyone that can give me information about Madrid embassy, I know they wont send me packet 3 until they have the notice so Ken will faxe it to them as soon as to open the provisional file and I have been trying to get together everything that I think I need so I am hoping that I will be able to asked for the interview date almost straight away..
Anyway.. We will get there, so far I havent made the July Parade, the August familly get together, so I was hopeing for Thanksgiving, not so sure I will make that eiter,, Oh please let me make my daughters wedding..!

I know that we got a RFE as well from the CSC. My fiancee sent it with a
return receipt and that was about 12 days ago and still nothing as far as a
notification that they got it, should we be worried about this Now?

We sent the RFE back the next day and they showed as receiveig it on the 24th October,, we got the approval on the 31st October,, but Ken got the congressperson to call them up ..

No that was at Nebraska centre. ¡what does the online staus say for your case number..??? when they received mine back it said tat it was going to take up to another 100 days..
that would have been a killer so Ken (My fiance) called up the congressperson and got them to chase them up some
anyway we have the approval now and I have the other problem of this permission letter... never a dull moment with this sort of thing..!!!

I wrote to another user, Marie, not long ago about my experience in madrid for k1, the interview times and packet 3.... I guess you did not read the post. If you want to ask something I am going on madrid too.

We just got our approval on the 31st October and I am so excited..
I do have another problem though.. I have been told that I may need a letter of permission from my ex husband to take the kids from the company.. I have a spanish court order that gives me sole custody and states that the children have to remain with me and I even asked my solicitor 3 times if I needed any other paperwork and he said not that I didnt need permission as long as I informed my ex of our addresss and contact number and that he couldnt stop me from taking them.. I divorced my ex because he was a contoling bully and I do not want to ask him for this as it will give him back control over my life... I will be looking forward to hearing from you
