Has anyone who has had or recently booked a medical in London, say how far in advance do you have to book.

Tried to ring to ask that but there a was along wait on the phone, just wondered if its weeks or more , just thinking of Xmas coming up and ideally thinking that will arrange before Xmas but having to take into account move, 6 months expiry of visa etc, lots to think about

Have you booked your interview?

Your visa is valid from the date of the medical, not the interview.

I believe mine was about two weeks before my interview.

When I first rang, on November 6th, they gave an appointment for Nov. 26th, so about 3 weeks later. I rang back a couple times in the following days and on November 9th, they said they had an opening on the next day, the 10th (which I couldn't attend as I was out of the country and couldn't travel back to London on such a short notice) or the 16th, which I ended up taking.
My interview is schedule on Nov. 26th, so 10 days after the medical.

Yes im aware that the Visa is 6 months from the medical, was planning on doing medical end of this year then schedule interview in January as away in USA over Xmas.

Thanks , 3 weeks is the answer I was hoping for,
