How can my fiance and I be together during application process?
Could anyone tell me whether my American fiance and I can be together during either a K1 or Spousal visa process (apart from him visiting me in the UK)? We're considering one or the other at the moment as we both want to live in America. Regarding his affidavit for financial support in the application, does he continually have to reside in the US or can he temporarily live and work here with me while we are waiting for the application process? He will have an Irish passport which means he can live and work in the UK.
Thanks

Regarding the Affidavit of Support, he does not have to continually reside in the US, but he should look at the form I-864 and instructions to understand how he will meet its requirements.
If he does not have a job in the US, there are other ways to meet it.
I lived overseas with my husband when I petitioned for him.

I was thinking of you in seeing the OP's question -- he seems to have ruled out all countries except the UK and the US -- France is nice for example.
